About Forrest Messenger
Since January, 1997 Forrest has served clients through his wholly owned CPA firm, Messenger Finance Corporation. He serves a diverse client base in the areas of financial management consulting, tax analysis, and small business accounting, with a hands-on approach. Principal engagements include financial oversight to large companies on a consulting basis equivalent to part-time CFO duties. He also works on compiled and reviewed financial statements of closely held businesses and nonprofit organizations and tax planning and preparation for closely held businesses and high net-worth individuals.
Of his many achievements, he feels the most impact has been for clients he has led out of tenuous financial conditions into thriving and growing concerns. One example is F5 Networks, which Forrest helped obtain their first round of venture capital financing in 1996. The Company has since reached market capitalization over $1.5 billion on the NASDAQ. He also helped Qpoint International, Inc., now a major Northwest mortgage finance franchiser, obtain two rounds of venture capital financing and, a few years later, helped lead them through a restructuring process.
When Aglow International, a nonprofit organization was on the verge of a major bank loan default, he began working as their part-time financial advisor. Through his leadership, they paid off the loan within 3 years and were flush with enough operating capital for a full quarter of operations. Forrest also has extensive experience in construction accounting, cost accounting and development of financial systems and controls.
In the role of part-time lead financial advisor, Forrest currently serves several closely held businesses successfully manage their financial direction, while maintaining a thriving and growing tax and accounting practice.
Forrest has an undergraduate degree in liberal arts and a master’s degree in tax accounting.
